We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Site Safety and Health Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued growth and success.

Position Summary:

As a Construction Site Safety and Health Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and health of all personnel working on our construction sites. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and employees to implement and maintain safety programs and procedures that meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess a clear working knowledge of USACE's EM 385-1-1.
  • Possess a clear working knowledge of NAVFAC's Safety Health Handbook.
  • Possess a clear working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Have a current 30-Hour Construction Certification.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
  • Identify and evaluate potential safety hazards and risks.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide safety training and orientation to employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Participate in safety meetings and committees.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry safety standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
  • Ensure emergency response plans are in place and tested.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Site, Safety and Health Officer.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Physical ability to conduct site inspections and walk construction sites.
